Eblex hopes for hits with web relaunch

Beef and lamb bosses are hoping for success with the relaunch of a website aimed at becoming an essential tool for industry.

Eblex’s new site – www.eblex.org.uk – is described as having a fresh, new look with easier navigation, creating a one-stop-shop where producers can find everything from technical manuals and market prices, to weather reports and events in their region.

The website is also an invaluable tool for stakeholders, processors and auction markets, with downloadable reports, industry news and essential contacts.

“Our website has always been a reliable resource for the beef and sheep industry, but feedback from our levy payers indicated that we needed to make the information more accessible,” said Nick Allen, Eblex sector director.

“The changes we have made to the site mean there are many more reasons to visit and it’s much easier to find what you need. It is now the essential website for the industry.”

Features of the new site include a live weather widget, RSS feeds of news from around the industry and easy access to valuable resources, such as market information. Plus, visitors can sign up for Eblex e-news – a monthly email roundup of the latest Eblex news to be launched soon.

The relaunch comes hot on the heels of the recent redevelopment of www.eblextrade.co.uk, which is aimed specifically at the retail and foodservice sectors. The website is also closely linked to the Eblex consumer site www.simplybeefandlamb.co.uk
