Meat industry mates raise big bucks in London Marathon

A team of industry runners took part in the London Marathon last weekend and managed to raise almost £25,000 to help sick and terminally ill children.

The team, under the name of Ewesain Bolts, were raising money for the Starlight Charity and all six made it across the finish line in London on Sunday. Members included Sainbsury’s Julien Pursglove and Siobhan Barnes, along with her husband Al, Randall Parker’s Phil Hambling and Chris Whitehead, and New Zealand Farmers’ Craig Robinson.

Hambling, said: "Despite the agony and damaged limbs we are all really thrilled - most of us running our first ever marathon. We’re amazed by how generous all our sponsors have been and would like to say a huge thank you for their support. Starlight is a wonderful charity and it was a privilege to run on their behalf."
