Farmers set to benefit from livestock event

This year’s Livestock Event will be staged in Birmingham on 3-4 July, giving farmers the opportunity to receive technical and financial advice, providing them with the information they need to make more timely business decisions.

Although traditionally focused on dairy farmers, the event will feature more than 340 stands of interest to beef farmers and 277 aimed at sheep farmers.

Additionally, there will be more than 50 seminars, foot-trimming demonstrations, mixer wagon demonstrations, the latest technical developments, to name a few.

Chairman of event organiser RABDF Ian Macalpine stressed the importance of attending the event for livestock farmers.

He said: “The event is going to provide us with that one opportunity of the year to talk to all of the supply trade in one place, at one time, place orders, pick up the best advice possible to get our farming businesses back on track after one of the most challenging 12 months, and start planning ahead for next year.

“The Livestock Event also comes with the added bonus of being a good day out away from the farm, and it generates a great atmosphere for catching up with friends and acquaintances within the industry.”

It will be held at the NEC with 450 out of 460 exhibitors offering products and advice for dairy farmers.
