Pork Recipes Praised

A foodservice company is celebrating the success of its new sous-vide pork product which has claimed two top awards.

The new sous-vide pork boulder from Loxtons scooped an award for the Best Pork Product in the Meat Industry Awards 2006 for the hickory pork boulder and was Recipe Dish finalist in the 2006 Excellence in Food and Drink Awards for boneless slow cooked pork joint in cinnamon, apple and maple syrup.

A company spokesman said both dishes have subsequently achieved listings with major foodservice operators.

Paul Durbin, managing director of Loxtons, said: "Once again our new product development team have worked hard to create an innovative recipe using a cut of pork ideally suited to our sous-vide cooking process confirming our position as market leaders of sous-vide to foodservice."
