The event, taking place at the Yorkshire Event Centre in Harrogate on Sunday 7 October 2012, will host the final of MTJ's prestigious Champions of Champions sausage competition, sponsored by Bpex and Lucas Ingredients, as well as the National Pie Competition, with categories sponsored by Eblex.

Visitors will be able to find the latest products and services from a wide range of exhibitors, including sundry suppliers, ingredients manufacturers, shopfitting firms and trade bodies.

Presentations on the main stage will include Kate Wood, marketing executive at John Penny & Sons, who will discuss the wholesaler's Meat Crusade Campaign, and Roy Craven, head of butchery for Morrisons, who will talk about how supermarkets are hiring real butchers. Meanwhile, Dalziel will offer technical advice on sausage-making and added-value items in the Meat Masterclass zone.

MTJ editor Ed Bedington said: "MTJ's Butchers' Fair Autumn is looking to be the biggest day in the butchery calendar this year and I would urge everyone to register now to secure their place." Registration and competition entry forms are available at www.butchersfair.co.uk.
