Eblex steak guide added to beef box options

Eblex has added a new steak guide to its beef box scheme kit, which is designed to provide farmers with all the resources they need to sell their meat directly to consumers.

The guide is designed to appeal to consumers who prefer steaks to more traditional cuts. The alternative cutting options in the steak guide differ from the original specifications, which lean more towards roasting and casserole joints.

Eblex direct sales manager Michael Richardson said: “This additional product range is well-suited to quick, mid-week meals, producing innovative steaks with a consistent eating quality.

“It provides farm shops and direct selling businesses with the opportunity to expand their offering, and offers a solution if customers are saying they would prefer more steak meat in their beef box.”

Step-by-step cutting specifications are available with both kits, together with freezer-proof meat labels, as well as posters and recipe leaflets to complement the cuts in the meat box.
