Interfood Technology is in pole position to raise over £6,000 for charity following a karting race day at Daytona Motorsport in Milton Keynes.

Supporting the Butchers & Drovers Charitable Institute (BDCI), Helen & Douglas House hospice for children and young adults, and St Bartholomew’s (Barts) Hospital, the event was attended by over 50 people from the meat industry who fought it out for the chequered flag while raising money for good causes.

Joint managing directors Mark Bishop and Jim Sydenham said: “We had a fantastic turn-out for the day and everyone who attended had an amazing day.

“Of course, the aim of the day was to raise money for three very deserving charities. Once all the donations have been received, we are hoping to have raised over £6,000 from this event which will be distributed equally between the BDCI, Helen & Douglas House and St Bartholomew’s (Barts) Hospital.

“Our thanks go to everyone who entered teams and for their donations and generosity, including Cranswick Country Foods, Weber, Welsh Pantry, Richardsons, Danish Crown, Farmers Boy, Farol, Csc and Sparc Systems.”
