Deadline for M&PPA 2016 approaches

Processors have until next Friday, 20 November, to enter the Meat & Poultry Processing Awards 2016.

The annual awards recognise and reward excellence in the processing sector across a number of different categories.

Rod Addy, editor of Meat Trades Journal, urged processors that haven’t entered to do so immediately. “There is a lot of hard work going on in the meat industry and processors are doing an excellent job of providing quality meat produce to the nation that needs to be recognised.

“The Meat & Poultry Processing Awards celebrate these businesses, which are working tirelessly to raise standards in the meat and poultry trade.”

He added that the Meat & Poultry Processing Awards is an opportunity to promote your business as being among the best in the country.

“To have your company recognised as one of the best in the country is not only a morale-booster for teams, but it also sets you apart from the competition and gives you something to shout about.”

This year, Meat Trades Journal has added two new categories to the event: Retail Processor of the Year and Foodservice Processor of the Year, to acknowledge and reward the different skills in each sector.

The Meat & Poultry Processing Awards will take place at the Radisson Blu hotel, Manchester on 3 March 2016. The event is sponsored by AHDB Beef & Lamb, Bizerba, Multivac, Reiser and Sealed Air, while entertainment is sponsored by Systems Integration.
