Dalziel Ingredients adds new member to specialist food technology team

Dalziel Ingredients has appointed Graham Smith to its specialist food technology team as technical sales manager. 

He joins from retailer Morrisons’ manufacturing division and will be responsible for offering guidance to customers on processing and production methods as well as recipe ideas, as part of the company’s specialist food technology team of nationwide industry experts.

Smith started in the food industry in 1986 and gained experience with businesses such as Dalepak Foods, Kerry Foods, Perkins Foods and latterly as new product development manager with Morrisons Manufacturing, where he successfully launched over 90 new cooked meat products.

He said: “What attracted me to Dalziel was its ongoing investment in its manufacturing sites and product development team, focus on innovation, new flavour concepts and ability to react quickly to consumer trends, which gives the company an edge in the marketplace.”

Richard Wilson, sales director at Dalziel Ingredients, said: “Graham’s focus will be on developing our sales in the cooked and cured meats sector, such as ham, gammon and bacon.
