Moy Park seeks ‘energetic’ graduates

Northern Irish poultry producer Moy Park is seeking ambitious and energetic graduates to apply for its 2016 graduate management development programme, ‘Sprint’. 

Moy Park, recent winner of Meat Trades Journal’s Processing Business of the Year at the annual Meat & Poultry Processing Awards, is offering opportunities in various roles across the supply chain. This covers positions in production, commercial, marketing, finance, technical, human resources and quality.

“The Sprint programme offers graduates accelerated career progression in an exciting, fast-paced industry,” said Katharine Strain, Moy Park’s head of talent and organisational development.

“The programme has been designed to ensure graduates gain the skills and expertise needed to succeed in the sector and to develop their own career paths in agri-food – whether their interests lie in product development, marketing, finance or any number of other areas – there is a range of stimulating opportunities.”

Successful applicants are able to learn skills in team leadership, personal effectiveness, financial awareness and commercial acumen, while management development modules are delivered by leading management consultants.

“As well as providing graduates with great experience and fast-track career progression, Sprint provides Moy Park with a platform to develop industry-leading talent across the business, helping shape future leaders of the agri-food sector,” added Strain.

In addition, participants undergo a range of work placements across business areas while receiving mentor support from senior management, as well as achieving a CMI Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management.

Moy Park recently announced an £8 million investment to develop skills growth within the company. Supported by Invest Northern Ireland, the programme will see training and learning rolled out across the complete workforce in the next four years.

The application process for Moy Park’s Sprint programme is now open and will close on Friday 18 March.
