Campbells Prime Meat refreshes fleet of vans

Campbells Prime Meat, a provider of fresh meat, fish and delicatessen products, has refreshed its fleet of temperature-controlled vans from Ryder. 

Campbells has a contract with Ryder that sees the delivery vans refreshed every five years.

The 18 vans, which are 18 x 3.5 tonne Mercedes-Benz Sprinters, are replacing 18 of the company’s older vans from its 65-strong fleet and will be operating out of the Linlithgow location in Scotland.

“Our relationship with Ryder stretches back 26 years for one simple reason: the continuing quality of service,” said Stephen Sweeney, Campbells finance director. “Ryder has taken full charge of our maintenance schedule; its technicians pick up the vans and service them out of working hours, which minimises the risk of downtime.

“Ryder’s comprehensive breakdown cover and on-tap supply of replacement vehicles gives us additional peace of mind. It enables us to focus on getting out on the road, providing the best possible service of our customers.”

Campbells’ customers include chefs and kitchens, speciality restaurants and hospitality companies across Scotland and the north of England. The majority of its produce is sourced from local Scottish farms.
