Calling all butchers!

The Autumn & Christmas Collection of Meat Ideas is taking place this Monday and is open to all butchers looking pick up some useful tips and advice.

A special trade show aimed at independent butchers is taking place this Monday, September 10.

The event, entitled an Autumn & Christmas Collection of Meat Ideas, is being organised by wholesaler Sauceit Ltd, and will feature a number of leading suppliers to the independent meat sector.

On hand at the event, which takes place at Mountnessing Village Hall, Mountnessing, Essex, on 10 September from 11.30am, will be Verstegen Spices & Sauces, Bizerba, Windsor Food Machinery, Robot Coupe, LPS and Dupont BV. The Meat Trades Journal team will also be at the show.

Lindsay Eley, director with Sauceit, said the event was aimed at independent retailers and would feature a number of demonstrations from Verstegen experts throughout the day.

"The show starts at 11.30 and we'll have demonstrations from Verstegen at 12pm, 1.30pm and 3.15pm to give everyone a chance to see them. Visitors will also have the chance to speak to the other companies throughout the day." she said.

Invites have gone out to more than 200 butchers, but the event is open to anyone wishing to attend.

Sauceit has been trading for four years. Eley said: "We've built the business on the basis that we sell quality with knowledge.

"We specialise in Verstegen products and our product knowledge is second to none."

The company also sells bespoke clothing for the food industry, as well as packaging materials among others.

Eley added: "All our products are the kind of things you wouldn't find at a normal sundries company, in fact we don't consider ourselves to be a sundries company."
