Ginsters to launch two new flavoured rolls

Ginsters is to launch two new flavoured rolls to its range.

Large BBQ Pulled Pork Roll and Large Smokehouse Steak & Cheese Roll will join the full Ginsters line-up from Wednesday 5 April.

These new variants are designed to tap into the growing trend for “Smokehouse and BBQ flavours” and capitalise on food on the go, which Ginsters says is a massive growth area for retailers, particularly in convenience, with the category currently worth £16.1 billion and predicted to grow to £21.7 billion by 2021 (IGD 2016).

The Large Smokehouse Steak and Cheese Roll is made with British Steak sausage meat and diced steak, Westcountry vintage cheddar cheese, onion and a smoky barbeque seasoning wrapped in a light puff pastry.

The Large BBQ Pulled Pork is made with British pulled pork and sausage meat in a BBQ sauce with onions wrapped in a light puff pastry.

Kate Brown, Ginsters brand manager, said: “Research with consumers confirmed that these two new flavours have extremely high levels of appeal.  Retailers should stock up to take advantage of the incremental sales.”

The rolls will have a recommended retail price of £1.80 with an introductory price and pricemarked pack. The launch will also be supported with tailored point of sale.
