Swan becomes commercial director at Snowbird
Published:  06 April, 2017

Snowbird Foods’ new commercial director Helen Swan will spearhead its product development and marketing programmes.

The cooked sausage and meatball firm promoted her from the post of national accounts manager to fill the role.

The move comes after the company beefed up its technical and new product development services with the appointment of technical manager Tony Crilly and head of innovation Bethany England. England’s previous positions included food technologist for 2 Sisters Food Group’s Anglian sites.

Swan, who started with Snowbird in 2003, joins joint managing directors Albert McGovern and Philip Paul, who led a management buyout of the business in 2013, on a three-person board.

“Helen’s appointment gives us a perfectly balanced senior management team, which will drive Snowbird Foods forward on a series of exciting new product and business development adventures,” said McGovern.

Snowbird supplies chilled and frozen comminuted own-label meat products for categories such as ready meals, pizzas, sandwiches and party food. Customers include branded manufacturers, top retailers and foodservice businesses.
