John Dracup to leave 2 Sisters

2 Sisters’ red meat procurement director John Dracup has decided to leave the business.

Dracup is leaving after 22 years at 2 Sisters to pursue his passion for farming, along with other opportunities.

He will continue to work with the business until January 2018 and will be succeeded by Prys Morgan, who will work with him over the next six months to ensure a smooth handover.

Dracup has a vast knowledge of livestock and market conditions, which has earned him the respect of his peers and the wider farming community. He has represented the business in many forums, including in Parliament at Select Committee Enquiries, and has represented the red meat industry externally.

Andrew Cracknell, 2 Sisters managing director of red meat, said: “John will be hugely missed. His passion and knowledge for livestock is second to none and his recognition, both internally and externally, as one of the leaders in his field within the UK is truly deserved.”

Dracup said: “It has been a very difficult decision to tender my resignation after so many years in the business, but there are other passions I have outside the business and now is the right time to take up fresh challenges.”
