Subway launches limited premium chicken option

Sandwich bar chain Subway has introduced a new premium chicken sandwich to its offerings. 

The Rotisserie-Style Chicken is available until 26 September only, and has been designed to offer a “luxury taste experience” for customers. The chicken is made by marinating it, searing it and then slow-cooking it in its own juices. It is finished by being hand-torn before being added to the sandwich.

“Rotisserie-Style Chicken is unlike any of our other Chicken Subs, with its premium taste credentials and careful cooking and preparation process making for a delicious lunchtime choice,” commented Sacha Clark, marketing director for Subway UK and Ireland.

“The new addition to our premium range will be a welcome treat to consumers wanting to update their usual routine and discover a different option.”

Subway recommended that the best pairing for the new chicken was with either ranch dressing or honey mustard sauce with a salad of the customer’s choice. The launch will be supported by TV marketing as part of the firm’s ‘Keep Discovering’ initiative, encouraging consumers to swap their own sandwiches for Subway.

The Rotisserie-Style Chicken is available for £3.80 on a six-inch sub.
